I START SCHOOL
I start Phlebotomist school on Aug 1st. I am so excited. I have put a stop to the RN degree it is a long 5 year pain in the a** up here. I will graduate Jan 6, just before my 30th bday!!! So I will be divorced and degreed by the time I am 30. Also took Tryston and Caitlyn to the DR today. Tryston was to see if the spot on his lung was gone. Got a mixed answer on that. I saw it and the DR saw it still there but the Radiologist says he is fine, but I guess he could change his mind and if he does they will call me. So I don't know. But Caitlyn has had a cough for about a month and she had full blown pnemonia, so she is on strong meds and an inhaler now. Like I always say my life is never boring. But I hope you all are having a great summer and getting ready for school. All mine are in school this year. YEAHHHHH!!!

Taylors Bday

Story to come... Ok here it is. Sharon and I decided at 11 O'clock at night to get the items we needed for the cake, so it was a late night and I had to work the next day. Got to bed about 2 AM and got up for work at 6:30 the following day. I won't even get into the day I had at work, lets just say I had to hold a five year old child and drag another all the way from the park. I am really not enjoying my job. So I come home from work to find the neighbor lady standing outside in the rain with YES- 8 young kids. Her smoke alarm was going off. I asked her what was wrong and she said there is a wire problem and she is waiting for housing to get there to fix it. I thought nothing off it and very unchristian of me left her and all 8 kids in the rain. All of a sudden 2 fire trucks, 2 cop cars, and an ambulance pulls in. So I thought it best to get the kids out of their way so we invited them into our house and then fed them all. Mind you they were all 3 and younger, except 1. The head of housing lady came over and was like when there is a fire we need these kids out of the way of the workers and it was very stupid of you to bring the kids in to a another unit of this building we are trying to evacuate it. I was like "WHAT FIRE". She pointed straight at me and said YOU should have called 911. I said for bad wiring???? Needless to say the neighbor is illegally watching 5 kids, the 12 yr old started her kitchen on fire by throwing water on hot grease. She didn't call 911 and let 7 toddlers and infants wait in the rain cause she didn't want ppl in her house cause her house was beyond filthy. So I got in trouble for not calling 911 and evacuating for a fire I didn't know about, she got in deep trouble has to pay for the fire and had social services in her house. I thought dam woman next time you decide to burn your house down clean it first. So I had called into work and then had to get going on the cakes, finally got the all made at like 1 AM and then I turned the oven off and noticed that the bottom element of my oven had broke in half. HOW DOES THA THAPPEN? So I had to go to Jessica's to make Hunter's cakes. I got the cake put together and ready for the fondant and went to go get them and THEY WERE HALF GONE. The damn dog ate half of the flowers and dots. It turned out but damn I spent a lot of time on those doggy treats. It was a happy ending though, the cake got done and delivered. But I would like to know why nothing I do can go smooth. I think I thrive on chaois.

4th of July in Anchorage
The kids in the caboooos!!!
The original Alaska Railroad train that is now set up in a park for kids to play on. Our 2 dogs, the Siberian Husky got shaved, and the black and white Husky is gonna have a baby this month. YEAH!!! It will be a Husky Malamute mix and it will be MY puppy!!
The parade was lame and there we only 2 floats, but I thought this one was pretty neat.

Then we saw the Star Wars guys and the kids went crazy, so we took a picture with them.
We went to Carnival but it was to crowded and crazy so we went to Chucky Cheese instead. They had more fun there anyways. Chucky Cheese kept randomly swinging his arm when we were taking pictures and knocking Carlyn in the head. It was funny.

SICK FROM POOOOO!!!!!!!
Ok we all got to read about Sarah's fun adventure with pooo flooding!!!! Well here is part 2....... On Wednesday, Tryston got home from summer school and took a nap, which is common for him(school stresses him out). When he woke up he came hunched over holding his chest on the left side. He said it hurts to breathe and he feels like his heart is being stabbed. I looked him over and his left peck was significantly swollen. Well I don't mess around with him, he is my child of many issues and health problems. I took him to the ER, didn't want to wait till morning. Got to the ER he was fine, just had a pain in the outer part of his left peck, NO other symptoms, no fever, cold, sniffle, cough, ache, headache, nothing. I started to feel foolish for wasting my time, thought maybe he had a rib head out, or pulled a muscle, or slept wrong. They checked his temp, O2, heart rate, set him on the heart machine, little physical test, everything was fine, he seemed perfectly fine, but that darn spot in his chest. They did a chest Xray and I was waiting for the DR to come in and tell me him is fine....instead she came in with a weird look on her face and said they had found a spot on his lung, in the exact spot on the outer part of his peck that hurts. I about cried cause why would a child have this. They Dr sent him home Rx w/3 antibiotics and called it pneumonia. I asked the tech if it is normal that a 7 year old walks in with NO symptoms other then pain on the side of his chest and have pneumonia....she said it is very rare. I got scared and worried of whatelse it could be so I got Tryston and researched my butt off...online of course. Well I think she was right. There is a difference between viral and bacterial pneumonia, viral you are sick, cough, fever, boogies, all that. Bacterial is when you have inhaled a bacteria and your immune system-sinuses-body in general can not properly expose of the bacteria, and may not have any symptoms. LIKE IN TRYSTON'S CASE----- breathed in POOOOO particles and your body can't push it back out your lung, so it sticks to your lung like silly putty and causes an infection!!!!!! So anyways now we know he had poop infection in his lungs due to the wild family that lived here before we did. SO now I was frustrated with that family until I saw in the paper that the family that got evicted from our house and moved to Eagle River, with 5 kids of their own and 3 foster kids, ALL TEENAGERS!!! They are terrible(I am not being mean I am being honest) But the night that our house backed up with poop, their house in ER burned to the ground. I almost started to feel sorry for them until I found out it was due to the teenagers(like 13 and 14) were smoking in the basement (they were never watched) well they caught the couch on fire. They had no renters insurance. I am sorry but she took on 3 foster kids that she didn't take off, she just wanted the income it is almost a grand a month per kid in AK. If I didn't respond to Tryston, he could have ended up much more serious. Not to sound harsh about the other family but DAH you leave that many kids unattended all the time bad things will happen. They wander Ft Rich all day everyday, and they have stopped my kids many times to tell them that they used to live here and they used to poop and pee all over the floor(which I found out from housing it is true). SO come on why do these types of family get to care for other people's children when they can't even care for the one's they have. Saddens me. But Tryston is on meds and doing much better. He gets a redo XRAY in 3 weeks. Keep you updated.

GOOD MORNING!!!!
I have a repeat mass email forwarding offender, who sends me 40 emails a day about what a beautiful day it is and how they woke up and saw the sun today and it made me think of me, but if you don't forward this on to 10 people in 30 seconds then we were never friends and your right arm will fall off. Here's my forward. lets
It was about 11 PM last night and our tub was acting funny, tried to run it and water started spilling downstairs into the kitchen, through a light. So DAH shut that off, but I made the mistake of flushing the toilet, that obviously overflowed, so I plunged it and feeces started pooling into the bath tubs, in both bathrooms. So instantly both toilets were backed up and both tubs were filling with feeces, and spilling and leaking through the kitchen ceiling, collecting in the florecent light. I wanted to barf. So with this conspiring instantly, I thought well at least I can do a load of laundry-----yeah NOT!! I start the washer and it flooded the kitchen worse and then started leaking to the basement. I went to the shoppette at 1 AM to get drano, LIKE THAT WOULD WORK!!!! Instead I called a straight emergency work order from the gas station. The guy got to our house about an hour later, he had our toilet removed which flooded our entire bathroom and into the hall!!with carpet!!! He snaked and snaked forever, and finally a guitar pick with a naked lady on it flew out of the other toilet!!!!!!! Not that was not the cause of it but the work order guy got a suvenior. That guy left and a cleaner guy came in about 5:30 AM and sanitzied the floors and bathrooms and ceiling and lighting, but the problem is still not fixed. They have to call in a plumbing crew and now the floors have serious water damage and the ceiling is bowing and the light is about to fall to the floor, so yeah not sure what is going to happen next, but I assume we will be living in quite a mess for awhile. I will update you when I know how it will end, I was going to share pictures, but then I decided to be nice. So please forward this on to 50 people in the next 10 seconds or you will never get you dream job and Satan will back up your toilets.

Carlynas School Concert I forgot to post
Our Dogs!!! We love the HAIR and all!!!
Alaska Standards Based Assessment
The girls had to do test of basic skills at school this year. They both did really well. Carlyna did exceptionally well and I am so going to brag right now!!!!
Reading Average is 300....she got 432
Writing Average is 300....she got 512
Mathematics Average is 300..she got 403
She came in way advanced on everything, and she even got 100% on some. I wish I had her ability at that age. She is brilliant and talented and has the biggest heart of any kid I know, I am SOOOOO PROUD SHE IS MINE!!!!!
I am very proud of Caitlyn as well don't get me wrong, she is going to be my Vet, her love of animals is so pure. She did average, 313 and 320 on Reading and Mathematics, but struggled on Writing with a score of 279. I am still so proud of her. If she had had a teacher that would have LISTENED to me this year she would have been tested for Dyslexia, which I truely believe she has. She leaves all(at least most) vowels out of words when writing and sounding out. She gets so frustrated, but is still a trooper. The colored paper layover helps her a lot. Her color seems to be blue. Cailtyn and Tryston are both doing summer school, they just started Monday. I am going to go talk to this teacher and see what she is observing with her reading and writing, and if She doesn't listen... it is game on next year. My child DOES NOT GET IGNORED!!!!! Just ask my family... I fight for my kids!!! The down fall with Cailtyn this past year was she did get over looked somewhat, due to her no responsive teacher, our divorce and discovering what Tryston had and fighting for his IEP and praying he didn't have to repeat Kindergarten again. With his meds he is doing so much better, he does go on to 1st grade next year, but he still is struggling and will unfortunatly, but nessessarily, spent 50% of the day with his special ed teacher and 50% with his class. Isaiah starts Kindergarten and he to has an IEP for speech and is so focused on building...he lacks the ability to learn ABC's and 123's...cause he DOESN'T CARE. He is truely going to be an Architect, if he ever decides to learn. He is 100% happy if he has his digger, his dumper, and things to build with, he is a very simple child. I am proud of all my kids!!!!!!! They are all unique and I love that about all of them. MUSHY MOM MOMENT!!!!

So Long Farewell......

The kids have had to say bye to quite a few friends this past month. Ashlyn and Allie are the girls' friends and have spent a lot of time with them the past month. The kids are all together at a BBQ before they left, and with their dog, Bear, which is a giant Malamute(shaved cause they are moving to LA). I WANT TO GET A MALAMUTE!!!!!!
Cry Like Big Fat Baby
Ok Isaiah came running downstairs yesterday, he was all upset. I asked him what was wrong and he said Tryston made him mad. I asked what he had done, and with his face all squished and lower lip sticking out, he said, "Tryston made me cry like a big fat baby." I about died, I started laughing so hard, which mad Isaiah even more upset, so I grabbed him to hug him and said I am so sorry Tryston made you cry like a big fat baby. I had to hide my face cause I couldn't stop laughing. My poor baby!!!!

Isaiah is going into Kindergarten
This is Ms. Selina Isaiah amazing teacher!!!!!

Well it is offical my last baby is off to real school. Isaiah is going into kindergarten next year. No more babies at home. He had a wonderful year. He had an amazing teacher as well. I will truely miss her. We also had our last year with Bus Driver Bob, who was the Headstart bus driver for both of my boys and was such a neat old man, he looked like Santa. Isaiah's best friend was Caden. It really is sad to see your kids have close friendships, then being military most of them move before the next year and I have seen many tears from the kids especially from Carlyna whose BFF is moving this summer and she has known her since 1st grade. Tryston best friend Victor just moved last week. It is true that parenting does get harder as the kids get older......emotionally harder. Isaiah is now officailly a big boy, and I am actually less sad about that then knowing that Carlyna is going into 5th grade, cause that means only one more year until middle school. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Tryston's last day of Kindergarten
Tryston teacher was Mrs. Babos and she was good, I think that is who Isaiah is going to have next, still undecided. Tryston is going into 1st grade next year, YEAH!! He has started to learn now that we have gotten him on the right meds for his seizures. He is focusing and learning and calming down and talking better. Just all around a new kid. He to is doing summer school and he needs it to, so we are so thankful that they have summer school. I am sooooo proud of him and all he is doing, he is just a wonderful boy and it is fun to see the new Tryston.
Caitlyn's last day of 3rd grade
This is Ms. Lay, Caitlyns teacher. The bottom picture is Caitlyn and her best friend Michelle, whom she wants us to adopt her. Caitlyn did well this year and she was always blessed with nice teachers so same old story there. She is a minature me! LOL She is great at school but a turd at home. Her struggle this year is reading and she is mistaking "a" for "the", "they" for "that", and leaving out vowels in writing and sounding out words. We have a chore this summer to read read read. She is also going to summer school, although she is mad about it, she surely is in need of it. She is excited to get more one on one time with me, which I promised her. I told her we will go to the park and she can read to me, and really focus on the words. She is my animal lover and has really started to do well with water color painting of animals, especially fish. She really has a great eye for it.
Carlyna last day of 4th grade
This is Mrs Meyers, and she is absolutly wonderful. For all of those who know Carlyna's teacher history, she has always had mean teachers who didn't truely understand what kind of wonderful kid she is until now. Today was the kids last day of school and as Mrs. Meyers was hugging Carlyna in the Hallway I heard her say "Carlyna you are truely the NEATEST kid I have ever had the priviledge to teach". I about cried. Through her K,1,2,and 3 grades in school and her many teachers who were so rude to her but she still always held her head high and with the right teacher and right encouragement, I feel it has helped Carlyna blossom this year, through her poetry and school work and recently with her test of bacis skills which we just found out she did way above average in every subject. I am so happy for her and I truely hope that she is blessed with another great teacher next year and if not, at least she got to have Mrs. Meyers.
Carlyna is my poet
Carlyna told her teacher she wanted to write poetry so her teacher said that she would help her type them after she got each one written. They are amazing so I am going to share them with you.

But yes he is 7 now and going on 30, and as you can see Isaiah is 5 going on 2, Caitlyn is 8 going on bad attitude, and Carlyna well is 10 and my angel.

EASTER 2008
SKI FOR KIDS

In January the kids trained for a cross-country skiing race. They did really well, they came in about the middle portion. I got the privlidge of waiting around and waiting for them to finish the LONGGGGG race with Isaiah and it was like -20 wind chill. I was FREEEEZING. They had fun, except Caitlyn, of course she decided it was to much effort to ski so she doesn't want to do it next year. LOL Anyone who knows Caitlyn will enjoy that.

Dance Revolution
This is the group of girls that did the talent show at their school. They did a 5 min routine called the Dance Revolution they dance to different genres from Twist to High School Musical. It will shortly be available on Youtube and when it is I will send out a notification to you all. They did awesome and I so proud of all of them. Yeah it is much hard then you think to get 8 matching outfits with shoes and accessories and all different sizes for only 18 dollars a piece, but I DID IT!!

My New Plan
Well I am still unsure what it is I want to when I grow up. I do keep teetering between nursing and something else, that something else varies. The state of AK seems to be retarded for getting your nursing degree, I have never seen a state this messed up with getting a 2 year degree. But I am only 32 SH away from an AA in Social Work and as well as my CDA, then would continue on to my Bachelors in Social Work or just get my LPN, As I said I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. But in the mean time I am just trying to get another job. I have an interview tomorrow, so hopefully that goes well. As for the kids they are all ending their school year great. Their last day of school is May 22, and they are counting down the days. They are sad as well and for all those military families you know how hard it is when friends move. Carlyna's BEST FRIEND since 2 nd grade is moving in 2 weeks and they have both been in tears. I swear half the base is moving this summer. Carlyna is going to be in 5th grade and is going to be in IGNITE next year, she didn't have time to test this year. It is a talented and gifted program, she is also writing a poetry book and I am excited to see that, but I have to wait till the end of the school year. Caitlyns going to be in the 4th grade and has really gotten good with her origami and we have decided to do an origami xmas tree this year, and we are going to start the process here soon. She has struggled with her reading, mainly forgetting vowels, but she is doing summer school this year and I think she will catch right back up, I have concerns of dyslexia with her, but her teacher(in my opinion), was to lazy to deal with her. So we have next year to nip it in the butt. Tryston who is going to be in 1st grade, is still not at grade level yet, even though he repeated Kinder, but with the right meds now he is changing so much so fast, I worry about his last up dose of medication from 20 to 25 mg butt we see the DR on Saturday. He is defiantly a different kid, calmer and more independent and less whiny. He is also going to summer school and he is also getting into a special swimming class for kids who have seizures at a High School here. It is suppose to be therapeutic for him. Isaiah, who is finally going into Kindergarten next, YEAHHHHH!! NO MORE BABIES!! He has had a Wonderful year at Headstart, he absolutely adores his teacher Ms. Selena and Ms. Erica, and loves his bus driver, Bus Driver Bob, and we will miss them all next year. He is just the same old Z and builds things and is your typical boy. That is a update for now. Just check back whenever you can.

In February this year the girls participated in the science fair. The both won first place. Caitlyn's was on the different seismic waves in an earthquake. We went to the Alaska Earthquake Center in Palmer and she got to see the real deal, and ironically we actually got to feel an earthquake that day so that was cool. She learned a lot from the center and she had an outstanding science fair project. Carlyna did as well, hers was on the how the image of beauty has changed over the past 3 generations. Her research was more computer based and compared fashion pictures and articles, which she hated, yeah right. But she to did awesome and even now months later I hear from parents that their kids talk about the girls' projects and how cool they were. I am very proud of them.
UAA Hockey

The kids and I, along with my friend and her girls were blessed with free UAA Hockey Tickets this past fall and boy did we have a blast!!! We had so much fun we went back for 3 more games. The excitement and yelling and screaming and dancing and loud music, it just makes for a fun, obnoxious night. GO SEAWOLVES!!!
