Isaiah is going into Kindergarten

This is Ms. Selina Isaiah amazing teacher!!!!!

Well it is offical my last baby is off to real school. Isaiah is going into kindergarten next year. No more babies at home. He had a wonderful year. He had an amazing teacher as well. I will truely miss her. We also had our last year with Bus Driver Bob, who was the Headstart bus driver for both of my boys and was such a neat old man, he looked like Santa. Isaiah's best friend was Caden. It really is sad to see your kids have close friendships, then being military most of them move before the next year and I have seen many tears from the kids especially from Carlyna whose BFF is moving this summer and she has known her since 1st grade. Tryston best friend Victor just moved last week. It is true that parenting does get harder as the kids get older......emotionally harder. Isaiah is now officailly a big boy, and I am actually less sad about that then knowing that Carlyna is going into 5th grade, cause that means only one more year until middle school. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Tryston's last day of Kindergarten

Tryston teacher was Mrs. Babos and she was good, I think that is who Isaiah is going to have next, still undecided. Tryston is going into 1st grade next year, YEAH!! He has started to learn now that we have gotten him on the right meds for his seizures. He is focusing and learning and calming down and talking better. Just all around a new kid. He to is doing summer school and he needs it to, so we are so thankful that they have summer school. I am sooooo proud of him and all he is doing, he is just a wonderful boy and it is fun to see the new Tryston.

Caitlyn's last day of 3rd grade

This is Ms. Lay, Caitlyns teacher. The bottom picture is Caitlyn and her best friend Michelle, whom she wants us to adopt her. Caitlyn did well this year and she was always blessed with nice teachers so same old story there. She is a minature me! LOL She is great at school but a turd at home. Her struggle this year is reading and she is mistaking "a" for "the", "they" for "that", and leaving out vowels in writing and sounding out words. We have a chore this summer to read read read. She is also going to summer school, although she is mad about it, she surely is in need of it. She is excited to get more one on one time with me, which I promised her. I told her we will go to the park and she can read to me, and really focus on the words. She is my animal lover and has really started to do well with water color painting of animals, especially fish. She really has a great eye for it.

Carlyna last day of 4th grade

This is Mrs Meyers, and she is absolutly wonderful. For all of those who know Carlyna's teacher history, she has always had mean teachers who didn't truely understand what kind of wonderful kid she is until now. Today was the kids last day of school and as Mrs. Meyers was hugging Carlyna in the Hallway I heard her say "Carlyna you are truely the NEATEST kid I have ever had the priviledge to teach". I about cried. Through her K,1,2,and 3 grades in school and her many teachers who were so rude to her but she still always held her head high and with the right teacher and right encouragement, I feel it has helped Carlyna blossom this year, through her poetry and school work and recently with her test of bacis skills which we just found out she did way above average in every subject. I am so happy for her and I truely hope that she is blessed with another great teacher next year and if not, at least she got to have Mrs. Meyers.

Carlyna is my poet

Carlyna told her teacher she wanted to write poetry so her teacher said that she would help her type them after she got each one written. They are amazing so I am going to share them with you.

A Magical Feeling
by Carlyna Gray

A Dream is a Dream,
A Thought is a Thought,
But when they Collide,
Your Imagination goes WILD.
It Runs,
It Flies,
It Jumps,
Nothing is like this Magical Feeling!

Little Girl
by Carlyna Gray

There once lived a girl
with little blonde curls
who lived in a cottage alone.
Though she was scared,
tears were not bared,
and she GREW
to be a woman of peace.

The Night's Angel
by Carlyna Gray

A sweet, soft sound
To calm this urge to go to sleep
And leave you in peace.
You think it is the Sandman......
but it is not
It is thy sweet angel of thy night.

Moonlight
by Carlyna Gray

I Heard a Bird Singing
Shining in the Light of the Moon
A Beautiful Sight
It's Shining Maroon
I Couldn't Believe My Eyes
Happiness Flew Within Me!!!

Hello
by Carlyna Gray

HI! Hello! How do you do?
So many greetings for you to choose.
Cow folk say "Howdie",
Hawiians say "Aloha", and
Chinese say "Ni Hao".
So if you go to one of these amazing places,
Remember these greetings,
And meet new friendly faces.

Headstart Zoo Trip

Isaiah and his Headstart class went to Alaska Zoo. This is Isaiah and his best friend Caden. My favorite was by far the seal, it was so funny when it licked the glass. The wolves are scary and huge.

Tryston Turns 7

Well this was Tryston's pour excuse for a birthday party but he got something. I think the cake was a space ship cake, we are just going with that. But yes he is 7 now and going on 30, and as you can see Isaiah is 5 going on 2, Caitlyn is 8 going on bad attitude, and Carlyna well is 10 and my angel.

EASTER 2008

This was our Easter egg hunt, which as you can see left us empty handed. I even spent all night making cute home made boxes for them and they got nothing. The boys were pouting and refused to be in the picture. HAPPY EASTER TO US!!!!

SKI FOR KIDS

In January the kids trained for a cross-country skiing race. They did really well, they came in about the middle portion. I got the privlidge of waiting around and waiting for them to finish the LONGGGGG race with Isaiah and it was like -20 wind chill. I was FREEEEZING. They had fun, except Caitlyn, of course she decided it was to much effort to ski so she doesn't want to do it next year. LOL Anyone who knows Caitlyn will enjoy that.

Dance Revolution

This is the group of girls that did the talent show at their school. They did a 5 min routine called the Dance Revolution they dance to different genres from Twist to High School Musical. It will shortly be available on Youtube and when it is I will send out a notification to you all. They did awesome and I so proud of all of them. Yeah it is much hard then you think to get 8 matching outfits with shoes and accessories and all different sizes for only 18 dollars a piece, but I DID IT!!

My New Plan

Well I am still unsure what it is I want to when I grow up. I do keep teetering between nursing and something else, that something else varies. The state of AK seems to be retarded for getting your nursing degree, I have never seen a state this messed up with getting a 2 year degree. But I am only 32 SH away from an AA in Social Work and as well as my CDA, then would continue on to my Bachelors in Social Work or just get my LPN, As I said I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. But in the mean time I am just trying to get another job. I have an interview tomorrow, so hopefully that goes well. As for the kids they are all ending their school year great. Their last day of school is May 22, and they are counting down the days. They are sad as well and for all those military families you know how hard it is when friends move. Carlyna's BEST FRIEND since 2 nd grade is moving in 2 weeks and they have both been in tears. I swear half the base is moving this summer. Carlyna is going to be in 5th grade and is going to be in IGNITE next year, she didn't have time to test this year. It is a talented and gifted program, she is also writing a poetry book and I am excited to see that, but I have to wait till the end of the school year. Caitlyns going to be in the 4th grade and has really gotten good with her origami and we have decided to do an origami xmas tree this year, and we are going to start the process here soon. She has struggled with her reading, mainly forgetting vowels, but she is doing summer school this year and I think she will catch right back up, I have concerns of dyslexia with her, but her teacher(in my opinion), was to lazy to deal with her. So we have next year to nip it in the butt. Tryston who is going to be in 1st grade, is still not at grade level yet, even though he repeated Kinder, but with the right meds now he is changing so much so fast, I worry about his last up dose of medication from 20 to 25 mg butt we see the DR on Saturday. He is defiantly a different kid, calmer and more independent and less whiny. He is also going to summer school and he is also getting into a special swimming class for kids who have seizures at a High School here. It is suppose to be therapeutic for him. Isaiah, who is finally going into Kindergarten next, YEAHHHHH!! NO MORE BABIES!! He has had a Wonderful year at Headstart, he absolutely adores his teacher Ms. Selena and Ms. Erica, and loves his bus driver, Bus Driver Bob, and we will miss them all next year. He is just the same old Z and builds things and is your typical boy. That is a update for now. Just check back whenever you can.

In February this year the girls participated in the science fair. The both won first place. Caitlyn's was on the different seismic waves in an earthquake. We went to the Alaska Earthquake Center in Palmer and she got to see the real deal, and ironically we actually got to feel an earthquake that day so that was cool. She learned a lot from the center and she had an outstanding science fair project. Carlyna did as well, hers was on the how the image of beauty has changed over the past 3 generations. Her research was more computer based and compared fashion pictures and articles, which she hated, yeah right. But she to did awesome and even now months later I hear from parents that their kids talk about the girls' projects and how cool they were. I am very proud of them.

UAA Hockey

The kids and I, along with my friend and her girls were blessed with free UAA Hockey Tickets this past fall and boy did we have a blast!!! We had so much fun we went back for 3 more games. The excitement and yelling and screaming and dancing and loud music, it just makes for a fun, obnoxious night. GO SEAWOLVES!!!

Caitlyn got a camera
